Call for Project Partners

The Corporate Innovation Internship is an opportunity for your organization to access some of Canada’s newest and most innovative talent. Students will develop a customized solution to a business challenge using design thinking, opportunity scanning, venture development, strategic planning, and innovation management techniques.

Process & Timeline

Dec - Jan

Complete a project proposal

  • Interested organizations are asked to submit an online project proposal.
  • Projects will be reviewed and approved by the Faculty Director.
Jan - Feb

Match with a team & agree to a project plan

  • Project proposals will be shared with students, who will connect with partner organizations.
  • Students and partner organizations will agree to terms on a project plan.
Feb - Jun

Project execution

  • Student teams will work on deliverables outlined in the project plan, communicating with the partner organization as needed.

Partner Requirements

  • The organization must have a well-defined, managerial business problem or challenge.
  • The organization must assign a dedicated person to liaise with the student.

  • Market validation, entry and positioning
  • Systems modelling
  • Lean implementation planning and execution
  • Building, testing and iterating prototypes
  • Digital marketing strategies
  • Developing product development protocols
  • Producing commercialization strategies
